Dr. Zoltán Pályi
Managing Partner
An economist with a PhD and an MBA, he is also a certified public accountant, tax expert, and holds qualifications in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Treasury Management (CertITM). His professional career began at the Ministry of Finance's VAT and Customs Department, where he spent four years working on legislation and the EU harmonisation of taxation. Subsequently, he gained extensive leadership and professional experience as a finance manager at several major multinational companies, including the finance departments of PMI and T-Mobile Hungary. Between 2006 and 2013, he led the Tax and Treasury team at Tesco-Global Zrt., and in 2012 he also took on financial controller responsibilities. In 2014, he joined a Hungarian consulting firm as a managing partner, where he managed the accounting, payroll and bookkeeping business, and in 2015 he joined Ecovis Hungary as a partner. He has extensive experience in finance, accounting and taxation, particularly in the FMCG, telecommunications and banking sectors. Since 2011, he has been an honorary associate professor at Szent István University, where he regularly gives lectures, supervises theses and serves as a member of the state examination board. He is also an active lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University, contributing to the training of the next generation of professionals.
Katalin Bercsényi graduated from Corvinus University of Budapest with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting and a Master's degree in Accounting, and is also a certified public accountant and registered tax advisor. She has been a member of the Ecovis team since April 2017, starting as an intern, then as a junior and senior consultant, and since March 2026 as a manager. She provides tax and accounting advice to domestic and international clients. She has extensive experience in tax due diligence, corporate restructuring and tax audit support. She is also involved in the preparation and review of tax returns, support for closing processes, preparation of transfer pricing documentation, as well as drafting requests for rulings and other tax authority communications and appeals. She supports her clients in both Hungarian and English.
Petra Giczi graduated in business studies from the Zalaegerszeg College of Finance and Accounting. She is a certified chartered accountant (business, IFRS) and a registered tax advisor. During her career she has gained extensive experience in accounting, taxation and management roles at multinational companies, leasing firms and accounting offices. Her career has included coordinating complex closing processes, handling company mergers and liquidations, and participating in the implementation of new enterprise resource planning and accounting systems.
Her professional work is characterized by precision, reliability and a high level of client service. As a leader, teamwork and supporting the professional development of colleagues are especially important to her.
Since January 2022 she has been strengthening the Ecovis team as an accounting manager, responsible for coordinating the accounting and financial statement preparation of companies with various activities. She communicates with our clients in Hungarian, English and German.
Anikó Horváth is an accounting professional with more than 20 years of experience. She is a certified bookkeeper and tax advisor and is currently participating in IFRS certified bookkeeping training. She has gained relevant experience at a tax consultancy firm as well as at small, medium and large enterprises.
Throughout her career she has acquired extensive experience in full-scope accounting, taxation, financial statement preparation and supporting financial processes. Her work is characterized by accuracy, reliability and a client-centered approach. She places special emphasis on providing her clients with up-to-date, professionally grounded and practical solutions in a constantly changing regulatory environment. Her goal is to contribute, with her professional knowledge and experience, to her clients' stable, transparent and efficient financial management.
